This past summer my whole flock ended up sick with fowl pox. One hen died but the rest recovered after a few weeks. I currently have two new pullets in quarantine. They seem healthy and only have another week and a half until their 30 days are up. Now I am concerned that they might contract fowl pox from my current hens. I know fowl pox is a virus so I assume that makes my current hens immune but also carriers. Should I vaccinate the new girls to prevent illness? They are 7 weeks old currently.
