Last Friday I had a fox attack and 1 hen was injured. She stands and walks, drinks, I fed her some lettuce and she ate. She laid a egg, for short periods she can hold her head up but most of time it hangs down closing her eyes and looking tired probly from pain. I was reading about wry neck or maybe just a swollen neck. Not sure what I can do for her other then contact a vet or wait to see if she gets better.

Welcome To BYC

Does she have any wounds or cuts to the head and neck?

I's start her on vitamin therapy for Wry Neck. Wry Neck is a Symptom, and a few common causes are trauma to the head/neck, disease like Marek's, nutritional deficiency and genetics.

Give her 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily along with a little scrambled egg to help with the uptake of E.

See that she's eating her normal feed and staying hydrated.
