About 4 days ago I had an attack on my coop by what I thought was a fox. Early this morning it finally came back and I was right. There is 2 traps right inside of the coop at the hole he made. All he did was poke his nose in...

I have reinforced it to where it cant get the brids. The hole is still there as I'm trying to catch it. The coop is very large and dont have many birds. So right now they are in about an 8by 5 part of the coop and free range during the day. It's only coming at nightHave you repaired the hole and reinforced the coop?
So if you catch this fox, what will you do about the next one that comes along? Or a racoon? Or an opossum? I'm sure you see where I am going with this.I have reinforced it to where it cant get the brids. The hole is still there as I'm trying to catch it. The coop is very large and dont have many birds. The rest of the coop will be fortified afterwards. I also have a large garage they go into as a just in case when I'm fixing up issues. They have been in there for almost a year, so far this fox is the only one that had the audacity to attack while in the coop. I've had coyotes, raccoons and possums that have never stepped foot (or paw) inside. The game trail cam showed a possum walk by the hole and wanted nothing to do with itSo if you catch this fox, what will you do about the next one that comes along? Or a racoon? Or an opossum? They are kept away from them during the night in a separate area, during the day boards cover it upIf you have foot holds set right inside , how are you keeping the chickens from getting caught in them?
I would repair the hole, fortify the coop and run.
This is just one of many chicken eating varments willing to use this hole as access.
