Fox attack

Normally I'm very optimistic when it comes to wounds in chickens because they can indeed heal from some shocking injuries, however based on what I can make out on the leg picture your girl has lost a lot of the skin on her leg/thigh. That's a really hard place to heal as it's so bendy and mobile. If you are going to try and have it stitched up by a vet do so NOW!
The longer you wait the harder it will be to have stitched up and the more the skin edges start to dry out.
I'm not able to make out much on the other picture but it looks like skin is gone from her side as well. Maybe more injuries further in?

Make sure to keep her warm as that is a lot of wound exposure without the skin to hold in body heat.
Think of it like this- based on her size, and your size, how much skin would you say you'd need to injure/lose on your thigh and/or abdomen to replicate what happened to her? This is an exercise to help you get a handle on the severity of the injury.
I'd say if you try to treat this yourself it will need lots of bandages for frequent changes, if not stitched up, to keep the thigh and/or side muscles protected while new skin granulates in, which takes a while. I really think this is an emergency and she needs to see a vet.

Hi thank you for the reply, I called my vet and basically the said they would not stitch, but would look at her, shevasblostvalotbof skin half off he brestb, no punctures there just the skin hung down, the main damage is under her wing, and top of her thigh, she is in a icu unit, I cleaned it with dettol and warm water then left her in the unit quiet whilst I've popped out for some antiseptic vet wrap etc,all I could get local was these Ill send pics, I also got her a supplement for her water, she brighter when I returned, and as drunk some water

Thank you for more pictures. Are you able to see into the abdominal cavity in any way, especially between the thigh and the side of her breast? (think "waist" area)

Base on the price tag on one of items you have, you are not in the US, correct? (Ok, I see the car pic now, not the US) I'm not familiar with what things are available where you are so it's hard for me to say what to get, but I do think it IS worth the vet visit because they will have the RIGHT products for you to try, and they can provide you with good antibiotics which I think she will certainly need.

Using Turmeric is not something I have done so can't advise there, the antibacterial powder is listed for minor wounds and while helpful, is probably not enough because this is a major wound.
The concentration of alcohol in the iodine solution will burn like crazy, do not use it. Not to mention the drying affect it, plus the iodine, will have. Iodine, while having some beneficial properties for minor wounds is more of a drying agent.
She will need products that can keep things moist and supple on the wounds and muscles themselves, like a topical ointment called Neosporin. It's for people and is fine to use on chickens. Veterycin is another product that is helpful. It is a gentle liquid spray that cleans and moisturizes things, and could mimic the antibacterial powder you have, but is probably a lot stronger. A gentle cleanser meant for surgical cleansing of skin and wounds would also be needed as this will require a lot of cleaning and care. I know you mentioned cleaning her with something in your above posts, Dettol? Which seems to be similar in nature to Chlorhexidine and used as a skin cleanser.

All that said, I repeat, a vet... any vet... even though they won't stitch her up, will have much better supplies available for you to use, plus healing ointments and antibiotics.

She's in a lot of pain right now and possibly still in shock. She probably has zero interest in food. The others can chime in on what you may be able to give her to help with pain. In the mean time you can try offering her a scrambled or mashed up hard boiled egg. This will give her some protein, and maybe you can offer her a bite or two of some fruits she likes to entice her.

You should give her a half of a baby aspirin or a quarter of a regular aspirin for pain, if you have any.

any triple antibiotic ointment WITHOUT PAIN RELIEF is good for the wounds... the pain relief in Neosporin is toxic to chickens, but plain Neosporin is alright. Looks pretty bad, but I had a hen ripped open from the wing down the leg that also looked really gnarly and she recovered in a few weeks, but she had a skin flap that I used to cover her wound, yours doesn’t appear to have the skin intact.

try keeping her quiet, dark (which you have been) and keep her wound moist (the ointment helps do this) and she may start recovering. She’s probably in shock right now, could you pick up some poultry vitamins and electrolytes to give her? Try feeding her boiled egg, tuna, or wet cat food as well for protein, she’ll need the protein to help heal.

Thank you do much for your reply, the vets around here and just useless, they didn't even know what antibiotics to give here and as it had just happened they didn't advise it, I've not used the iodene but the leucillin was advised which I managed to source and been through for it just, I'll try and take a close up of what it says, I've also put avigold in her water, to be honest the vets seemed uninterested and I didn't want to stress her out even more, so I asked if some point tomorrow they would just at least take a look, I don't care if she cost me £1000 I love my girl and she's worth every penny, she seems comfortable warm and drinking fine but still no food I've put some veggies through the blender and trying her with that and I thought maybe a warm mash?
