My flock was attacked by a fox while free ranging (my coop is very secure, I went into the house to help my daughter. This was in the middle of the day.) This is the first attack in almost five years. Anyway he killed 8 and took 1, 12 are fine and the last one got away by jumping into the pond. She has a good size cut on her back. It has been 7 days. She is in a crate secluded. The second picture is the day of the attack and the first is day 4. My question really is does the scab have to be completely healed to put her back with the others? I do have No Peck and Blue Kote if that will help.picture of fox caught on camera.

I'm sorry to hear about your losses.

The wound looks to be healing well. Personally, I would wait for it to close more before putting her back with the others. You don't want the others to pick at it, for her to get a lot of soil in it and it's still open enough that flies may be attracted to it and lay eggs (you sure don't want that).
