Flour will stop bleeding if you don't have anything else to use. But like Amiga says you need to wash the wounds really good so you can see how bad they are.
 
I am finding it really difficult to cut the feathers cause they're so thick... im currently using ordinary scissors... is there something else i should use?
 
well i found some antibacterial disinfectent so ill just use that! :)

now when cutting through feathers you have to be careful not to cut into the quick or you'll have more bleeding. Just clip enough of the feather back so you can see the wound and are able to clean it out real good.
