Get a hav-a-heart trap to catch the fox. Once you catch it the rest is up to you. Me personally an eye for an eye.

You're not likely to catch a fox in a hav-a-heart, they're too clever and wary for that.

Sorry for your loss. I agree, live traps don't work well. I had a live bird as bait. The fox tried to dig under the trap. I had a fox dig under one of the gates to a pen of one of my open coops and kill several birds. I put concrete under all of the gates, electric wire around my coops and pens any heavy duty netting covering all of my pens.

You're not likely to catch a fox in a hav-a-heart, they're too clever and wary for that.

Coyotes I agree, foxes on the other hand can be had.

Foxes are buggers when it comes to keeping them out, we had one rip the wire off the coop. A good option for you may be all the above things and to double wire your coop
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE A FOX!!!!!!
