"Agreed." Mary said and chuckled. "But he noticed you still had milk, so he got you two motherless puppies, Howard and Anika. He hopes you'll take them and be their mother but if you don't they'll still stay." Mary said.

Vasper said with apologies, "We Really have to be getting back. Ruby here, has a litter of new borne pups, she can't leave for very long. So we can't come in and stay a while. Perhaps another time, though."he explained.

Ruby agreed. "Soon the pups should be able to walk, we can stay for a while then." Amber told Misty politely.
 
"Oh, I completely understand. I'm so glad you stopped by, it was a pleasure to meet both of you. Now, you be safe on your way back, okay?" Misty said to them.

Ashton looked at them both and said, "Thank you, for walking me home, that was really nice of you both. I'll see you tomorrow. Good night." She stayed on the porch until they were out of sight. Then followed her mother into the house.

Mary let Ruby take control of the pups again. They quickly started drinking.

"Okay, so I'm finally going to check their genders." Ruby said.
