"It was my fault, Mary." Sabastian said meekly, then continued. "The night we were caught. I was playing around with Vasper, getting him mad enough to chase me. I remember Vasper threatening to show me my place. Which at that moment was little more then a fur rug, so he could wipe his paws on. He was right behind me and I was looking back at him. Not looking in front, like I should have been. That's when we ran right into that trap. The spring door dropped and locked us both in there." Sebastian couldn't look at Mary. He didn't want to see disappointment there. He could take anything but that. So he kept his eyes on the path ahead.
