Very hungry and scared Shasta thought to her self maybe Ashton would let her stay there at the farm. So bravely as Shasta remembered she needed to be asked Ashton if she could stay

Vasper just watched Ruby with her pups. It was amazing how small they were. Then he started looking around the room. He had never been in a house before. Never thought he would be. "So this is how humans lived?" He said with wonderment.

"Yep. And Mary, Louie, Jesus, AND Leo. Plus me. We get dinner and breakfast, but we never really want to eat lunch." Ruby said happily. Jack came inside, surprised. "I didn't even know you had puppies?" He said, surprised.

Jack coming in caught Vasper off guard, The animal fight or flight started to kick in, which he managed to get under control. This was still all new to him. He wanted to trust humans and he was willing to give Jack a shot.

"Please don't cry little one. It's going to be okay. We will help you find you mother. I know what it's like to loose a mom. I was raised by my cat momma, after a car killed my real one." Ashton said. But then realized how that could be taken she added, "Not that anything bad happened to your mom!" She amended.

Shasta wiped the tears from hers eyes in relief. A sense of a new friend seems to be brewing. I'm sorry about your mom. said Shasta. How was it like having a momma cat raising you? Shasta asked nervously not wanting to hurt Ashton feelings

"It wasn't all that weird for me, I was very young then. She had just lost her babies to a tom. So she had more then enough milk for me." Ashton confided to Shasta.

Then Ashton had a really good idea she turn to Shasta and said, "Do you want to meet a bunch of really cool foxes? They would love to meet you. Come on then follow me."
