I am a new-by to raising chickens and want to have a coop that provides a safe and comfortable environment for my birds and are looking for tips to fox proofing.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. There are 11 tips are http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2013/07/11-tips-for-predator-proofing-chickens.html that will protect your chickens from all types of predators, including foxes. Also, if you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Glad you joined the Backyard chickens flock. I suggest you check out the coops section too for predator and ventilation, etc. info. One of the best things to do is NOT use flimsy chicken wire. Instead get 1/2" hardware cloth and attach it securely to your fence frame. I do not have stock in the company.

Fox are a tough predator to deal with since they are intelligent, can dig under and go over fences. Michael O'Shay has given you some good information to read up on, hope it helps.

Good luck to you and thanks for joining us!
