Fox killed 18 today

We keep live traps with goid in them around the coop at all times and I live in city limits. Lots of raccons, skunks, weasels, foxes, and cats. Most are relocated by a river with no housed for a few miles. Sorry for your loss.

Curious @BjaJra826 ...what is "goid"?
May be a typo I am not translating.

Also curious if you mark these animal you release to make sure you are not catching the same ones over and over?

So sorry for your losses. I hope some of your birds are in hiding rather than all dead. Electric fence is worth every penny against ground predators. I highly recommend Premier1 electric poultry fence.

I don't have game cameras but last winter when the ground was covered with about six inches of snow, there were tracks one morning. It looked like whatever it was, came out of the woods, took its time, meandered up to the hot fence and then jumped straight up in the air and ran as fast as it could back to the woods.

Now my biggest issue are mice.

Especially the young critters in the spring that haven't learned about the electric wire will touch it and sometimes I can hear them with a startled sound. I pretty much guarantee that they aren't going to touch it again. I have touched it by accident and it makes my heart skip a few beats.
