Foxes

We have been told our neighbors in front of us feed a family of three foxes..this is really concerning to me for my children, kitties, dog, and chickens. From your guys experience will it keep them away from our property or just lure them to our area? We have only seen them in our cameras on our property twice in over two years.

I believe in most states it is illegal to feed wildlife.. its also illegal to trap and/or kill them without a permit..you may want to check with local authorities as this seems quite serious on several levels..they should be able to adress the issue...

In our state you can lawfully dispatch an animal if it's wild or domestic doing damage or harm to your property. You CAN NOT just shoot something for "fun" or something like that it has to damage property or hurt someone/ something. Which I don't want either to happen. We don't feed the wild animals, but I can't really control what my neighbors do. I hope it doesn't attract them to houses more though I will have my husband check the laws again for our state, and local authorities. Thanks!

Just as a side note we have no desire to hunt any of the critters on our land. We just don't want our children or animals harmed by them. I'm really just curious if my neighbors are doing this if it will really cause them to come closer to our property. I'd say we have about 20 acres between where their front porch is to our chicken coop/backyard.
