We just got our first egg from one of the two Mosaic hens we hatched from Foxfire. I need to get recent pics of the hens soon, but here is the egg. In the second pic are two of her first eggs next to an Easter Egger blue. The colors are more vibrant in person.

Here are a few pics of this July hatch from Foxfire eggs. The black hen and the grey hen are the mosaics. The rooster and two more hens are cream legbars, one of the hens being rumpless. The grey mosaic is the one laying the green eggs. They are incredibly sweet and are doing really well having just joined the main flock. I'm sure spring will bring challenges, but for now this little rooster has good manners and is listening to what the main flock rooster tells him to do.

I have been hatching her eggs

and a spitzenhauben but she has not started to lay yet...(Daughter-in-law holding her.)
