I will have some white silkie babies for sale. They are from my breeder/pet pen, but they are nice birds just the same. Look on the chicks and chickens for sale. Mine are listed as tplummer. Let me know if you are interested in them. I would be happy to bring them to Morganton.
As new Silkie owners, Allison and I are so looking forward to meeting y'all next month. Can anyone tell us if the BYC stand will have other stands around it, or will we have to bring a table and chairs to display our aprons etc? Or is there a special area for vendors? We'd love to be next to the BYCers as this is where we'll get to meet most of those we chat with on the page. If anyone can let us know we'd appreciate it.

You will need to bring your own table, chairs, and materials. The hosting club cannot provide this stuff for you. Sellers set up their own areas. Most sell where they park.
I am setting up the BYC Table. Which building the show is in will determine if I use a table I can pull out of a store room in the upper building or bring my own for the livestock building.

Shows around here are 80-90% bantams. The amount of Standard has increased over the years, but still the bantams are more popular for show. They take less space to raise, less food, and easier to work with. The bantams are really good for the kids in the Junior part of the show to get them interested in exhibiting. Alot easy for a kid to handle a 1-2 pound bird then a 8-14 pound show Cochin/Brahma.
