Fractured beak

Help, my quail has a fractured upper beak, it can barely drink water and I think it's about to snap off. I cannot go to the vet. What should I feed him? Is he going to be okay?

Can you supply a picture of his beak to see how damaged it is? You might need to feed him through a syringe.

i cant send a picture right now, IDK if i can feed him through a syringe..

if you can repair it by trying to reglue it back together, take a piece of clean tea bag, glently place over crack, and a couple drops of super glue. just be carefull not to get the glue in the mouth. in regards to feeding you can try purred slushy of food

Depending on the birds age, it might heal as time passes, but it is best to feed him by hand through a bird syringe to avoid further damage to the beak

ooh boy, yea in that case I would say syring as well and maybe poulty vit and electrolyte. in a pinch childrens pedilyt (cant spell the stuff for ill children)

can i feed it sugar water to give it energy?

I'm not sure about sugar water. If that's all you have near by then that will have to do for now. Colicky babies that Pedialyte solution is supposed to be good I hear as well
