My Franken babies as I like to call them, are the last offspring of my old roo Mr.Sparkles a Barred Holland over BO, RIR and Australorps. Since they are a barnyard mix I had no idea what the offspring would look like. So I decided to take pictures of them to keep track of their progress and also in case the neighbors dog decides to preform another purge on my flock I'll have something to remember them by. These 2 are my favorites they're both out of Buff Orpington moms.

So pretty! They almost look like my EE. Is the lighter colored a cockerel?

Yes the one that has the entire yellow head is the cockerel and the dark headed one is a girl. I was actually able to tentatively feather sex them at about a day old. Now that they're 5 weeks old its clear to tell the boys from the girls and confirms my feather sexing.
