Frantic behaviour

11 month old pullet was doing sudden running spurts, sometimes looking like she was chasing a bug but no bugs yet. Jumping up on garden boxes, up and down, up and down quick-changing directions when she runs. Like she's on speed. Could she have eaten something that made her hallucinate. She's normal now.

Yes. Today. She stopped. They get pellets or a non corn non soy seed/grain type feed. The other three didn't have the zoomies.

Mmmmmm, there are bugs starting cuz we are warming up already. And it is possible she was chasng some very erratic bugs. LOL
She also jumped up onto the arm of my chair a couple times and onto my shoulder. No walking.only running. Quite entertaining just hope she is healthy.

She's probably getting antsy as spring gets closer

Could be. Last summer and most winter, they foraged freely all day. However, a couple weeks ago we lost our welbar to a hawk (gorgeous red tail, almost as big as the vultures trying to take his kill) so they have been confined to their coop/run until yesterday. She paces the run. No zoomies yesterday tho.
