Congratulations! That is a very beautiful egg, and a very beautiful EE!

All your girls will go through this stage, it's a ritual of sorts. They always seem to think the sky is falling or something, but once they get used to it, they'll practically yawn while laying.

One of my birds will chat me up while she lays if I catch her in the middle. Everyone else growls at me if I interrupt

I think Darla just views me as her nail artist and she's at the spa or something; that girl can TALK.

Thanks everyone. My BO, laid her first egg yesterday and she was all quiet about it. She even got it right in the nesting box. She laid another today too. The EE is still noisy in the morning, and I set her in the nesting box today when she was acting frantic again. She settled in well. I thought I'd find an egg from her later today, but no luck. Maybe tomorrow.
