I have a 13 week old frizzle named "Elvis" I could have sworn I heard crowing coming from the coop this morning. Can someone tell me if I really have an Elvis or is she an impersonator please? I'm hoping for hen, not a roo! Here are a few pictures:
I was told that "Elvis" was a frizzle. A silver laced polish looks more accurate. I was told the ee was an americauna. At least the ee/americauna is a she!
i have a silver laced polish hen in my albums...a hens crest is nice and round unlike the unduly crazy crest look of a cockerel. plus i can see his saddles and they are pointed unlike my lil girl who has some nice fat and rounded "saddles"
I was told the pullet was an americauna. Nothing more specific. I'm cool with her being an ee. As for Elvis, I guess we'll have to wait and see what his temperament is.I live in a pretty rural area so noise isn't really an issue. As long as he is a nice roo, he can stay; otherwise he may need to find a new home.
Thank you everybody. I appreciate everyone's input on the gender and breed of my new birds. I definitely heard the juvenile err-err-err-err-errrrr this morning of Elvis.
