Today at 6:35pm will mark the 5 day point for my eggs in the incubator. I usually work 12 hours/day, so I got the Farm Innovations incubator with egg turner. Well yesterday I thought that the eggs seemed to be in the same position, not being turned. Well this morning I woke up and they are STILL in the same position!!!! I dont know how long they have been in the same position!! Since they are in their first 5 days, are they OK…..are they gonna die? What should I watch out for? UUUGGGGGG!!!! HELP!

I am going to try to get Tractor Supply to give me a new egg turner. THe only problem that I can see is that I bought the egg turner in the kit and not by itself……and I am NOT taking them the incubator that I have with perfect temp and humidity!

They will probably be ok since it's early in the incubation. You can hand turn them in the meantime. An easy way to do this without opening the top is to put a book or something under one corner to tilt the whole incubator, and simply move it to a different corner every couple of hours to "turn."

Don't stress, either they will be ok or they wont, not a lot you can do except start turning them, I try for three times a day but if you work 12 hours then that will do, Just set yourself to doing it when you leave for work and again when you get home... They are a lot tougher sometimes then we think.

Well….Tractor supply does not sell the Farm Innovation egg turner, they sell a different brand and can only exchange the whole incubator unit! I called Farm Innovations and they gave me some trouble shooting tips, we will see if it works. I will just keep a closer eye on them and will use the book trick to "turn" them until lockdown. I will still be in the 30 day return policy by the end and I will return the whole unit then.

I feel worse then a momma hen with these eggs……hehehe!
