Losing to Tracey with the BB White Cockerel did not upset me at all. He is gorgeous!
The judges were great by writing comments on coop tags and staying around and answering questions. What a great group of people

I had a similar situation with my rosecomb pullet. She is an exceptional girl ...just wasn't as good as someone else's. That's fine with me. She still beat out all the rest of his girls to take 2nd

I know! This was my first show and I am so pumped! I have done the horse world and dog world arenas. There, only good longtime buddies would share advice. It is soo different with chicken people. I wanted every BYCer to do great even those competing against me and I met this Orp guy who taught me loads. Never met or even heard of him before. Tracey gave me information on a how to improve the weak beards in my silkies, etc. A well known silkie guy was at the show helping one of our BYCers pick out some silkies and was searching for info that he misplaced that night on another message board, met a guy who lives 30 minutes from me that raised great non-bearded silkies, and on and on. I love putting faces to names and BYC names to real names

I wish I had pictures of the other BYCer that were there. I spoke with Crunchie and BareGretchen and I never got to meet polish101, lovemychicns, or chickenlady

When did you say I could pick up my early christmas present????

ETA: When we were PMing each other this morning, I meant that I only have 1 lonely white. He was sent as an extra in a shipment of eggs I bought this spring
