i did a genetics experiment with my new (as of January) rooster, i bred him with three hens (it was supposed to be five, slacker!). well needles to say i got some cockerels.
first is the rooster i got in January, he is supposed to be a quail Belgian bearded
D'Anvers, he is from Murray McMurray. he is a great protector and doesn't usually attack humans ( a friend was trying to catch a hen and he did attack her but he also didn't know her) he is about a year old.
the next rooster is a quail Belgian bearded D'Anvers red cochin cross (both parents are hatchery birds) he has a single comb. he is very sweet and is about three months old (hatched 2/26/18)
this next rooster is also a quail Belgian bearded D'Anvers red cochin cross but he has a rose comb. he was hatched the 12th of march also very sweet but more flighty.
the last rooster is a full Belgian bearded D'Anvers but he is mixed colors, father a quail, and mother a very pretty self blue or lavender (mother was show quality). he looks more like a quail in coloring except he is lighter in color where he should be black very sweet (he is a cuddle bug)(he has a rose comb).
and finally the HEN. she is also a quail Belgian bearded D'Anvers (she came with the rooster), she is also very sweet. she is also a hatchery bird.
all free to a good home!
P.M. me for more details
