Free Cartons Needed

I will need some cartons for eggs come June or July. Does anyone have some?

When I needed some, I just mentioned it to a few friends. They were coming up with so many, I had to tell them to stop. I would just ask family and friends to save them for you. Of course, if you're going to have 100 layers, this might not work lol.

I get some from friends and family sometimes, but I generally just order some from eggcartons.com to make sure I have them on hand. They don't last forever and they get dirty and I don't like to use them then.

I agree. Eggcartons.com has great customer service. I order 100 at a time, plus my neighbors save them for me. After a few uses, the polystyrene starts to become a bit flimsy and I throw them out then.

I addition to family and friends you could also put wanted ads on Freecycle and Craig's List. Some people also give a small discount to people who bring clean egg cartons when buying eggs.

I think all the people I know would think I'm even crazier if I ask them for egg cartons!

Plus I only see some on the weekend... My best friends might do that for me tho.

I put a big cardboard box at the local post office and it was full in less than a week. Now the post master here saves them for me in trade for eggs...

I hit up family and friends. I also posted on Freecycle and I got quite a few that way. Some are still "saving" up for me. I know some people would not do it but I went to throw some trash away at my friend's condo complex and they have a dumpster for recyclables and I picked up the clean ones. Basically, be on the lookout and ask.
