Free Companion Hens, Good Home only.

I have a few nice hens that I would like to give away. They are between 3-5 years old and may or may not be laying any longer.

I would love to find them homes, but if I can't they can live out their lives here. These lovely ladies are FREE, but I want to make it very clear that they are not to be used for food.

I am located in Novato, California. These ladies are for Pick-up only.

I wish you were a little closer. I'd be happy to come get your girls. I've got 12 acres in Virginia City, but you're just a little to far for me to justify the drive.

She is a Welsummer. This picture was taken last year, she has since lost her left eye but gets around find. We changed her name from Stacey to One-Eyed Wellie.

Just a thought, if anyone is over-run with grasshoppers like we are out here...even if they don't lay eggs they'll help keep the grasshopper population lower around your garden/property during the summer!
