free frizzle silkie/cochin roo

This is baby my very sweet little frizzle roo. I live in a neighborhood where I can Not have a roo so I need to find him a new home. I am about half an hour north of Sacramento in Auburn. I really want him to go to a home where he will be a pet and not fricaseed.

Cute! Where are you located? How old is he now?

He is about 8-9 weeks old. And we live about an hour north of Sacramento, CA. Up in the foothills... a town called Auburn. I would really love to find someone local, but that may be impossible. He really is very sweet gentle.

Ah, how sweet! i grew up in Sacramento, but now down in Southern California. i miss Sac, hope to move back there one day. Auburn is beautiful. i lived up in Nevada City for a while, too.

Anyhow, have you tried posting him on craigslist up there? i'm surprised you can't keep him in Auburn.

Ohhh, he's so cute. I need another roo like I need a hole in my head but I'll take him if you haven't found a home for him yet. I go to Sierra down in Rocklin so I'm pretty close to Auburn most weekdays.

Alisha, I haven't found a home for him. I underestimated how hard it would be to find one good home for the sweetest roo you have ever met. I guess there are lots of people like me who just can't have them or already have enough. How odd that in nature the hatch rate is 1:1 roon and yet you can only have one roo to several hens as adults???? Sorry..... odd little tangent there...... Anyway.. yes, I am down in Roseville, MWF from 11:30 to 1 for my daughters chemistry class, near the galleria. Please let me know if you are still interested. How many chickens do you have?
