prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

Praying, absolutely.

Maybe a different version could be helpful to your friend. The King James is written in language from about 16th Century England and we don't talk like that any more! A more modern translation might be easier for her to understand like ESV (English Standard Version?) or NASB, New American Standard Bible.

I agree with what you said, that discussion is helpful, not argument. I apologize if I came on strong earlier. It's always good to listen to each other respectfully, that's how we learn. I have my way of looking at things but nobody has to agree with me.

Thank you, cgr, you make a good point here. Jesus spoke in parables like what you quoted above. These were stories He told to illustrate a point. Sometimes He could not come right out and speak plainly because to do so could have cost Him His life due to the animosity of the church leaders, like the priests and Pharisees. But most of the Bible is not like that. It's usually pretty obvious when something is a parable and when it is not.

Oh, poor guy! Sounds like it could have been far more serious though, so thank God it was not! Another need to add to my Prayer 911 List. It's what I focus on every night until I fall asleep, and every morning first thing.
Prayer 911! I absolutely love how you named that prayer list and am definitely going to use THIS ❤️

This is what I'm talking about when I say arguing about the Bible. I don't take it literally nor do I preach to people about how they should take it. Everyone is on their own journey towards God

We call it Bible bash when folks want to argue about..what..how..they read this or that in Scripture. Makes no sense to argue Scripture to others because as you said, everyone is on their own journey. We can read something one year, read it again next year and think..oh!..and see it for them at that time. Seeing it the way the Lord knows we need to see it.

It's all about the journey, everyone's personal journey with God, Jesus, & the Holy Spirit! Make them first in your life, your focus, and all else will fall into place. Sometimes it might not seem like it, but that is life on this earth. This is a fallen place. Focus on Him, making the best of our time here, to eventually leave this place for a better place with Him. Going with God!
