This happens to be the best pet dog I've ever owned. He's well behaved and very quick to learn. So here's the story.. I recently picked this dog up for free, I was looking for a hunting companion. "Jager" (yager) was living in a small back yard with three other big dogs. He didn't have a bad life at all, but his owner was downsizing.

So we brought him home and found that he really misses his friends. What's worse is that I don't believe he'll ever make it as a hunting dog either. He has no nose and despite my attempts through the winter I could not get him excited when I took him to the field. He was just happy to walk at heal.

Now my wife has asked me to find him a new home where he won't be so lonely.

He's not housebroke although the times we've had him inside he has been very calm. He weighs about 45lbs. He knows his name, loves to play fetch, Sit, Heal, and pretty good with Whoa. He's not registered, but I do have his puppy papers so you could register him in your name if you so desire.

Please E-mail me if you are interested. [email protected]

Hi, thats a wirehaired pointing Griffon. We have one and ironically she is called Jager too. She is the best hunting dog we have ever had. Your dogs tail is too short--which leads me to believe he is not from good stock. Normally they are docked at three-quarter length and at a white tip.

We are in Canada, but my husband is interested in him. would you be able to provide the name of the kennel that he came from?

We would be interested in finding out about flying him up here to live with us. We love the breed, as they are great family dogs as well.

would you know the age of the dog?

Could you email me at [email protected] with more info?

Thanks

I will also reply to your email addee.

I would love to have him but not sure when I'll be going that way next. He is beautiful. Good luck finding him a forever home.
