Turns out one of my beloved white Pekins is a male... he has got to go though because he is loud (my neighbors probably don't appreciate it). He is 6 months old and healthy; I want him to go to a good home. I'll meet someone near Snohomish county WA.

What's the deal with me getting "pullets" and "hens" that contain males..... LAME....

send me a PM if you're interested. Thanks.

Quirky - but Snohomish is one of my favorite "words" - just like how it rolls. We lived in MountLake Terrace for a year right on the Snohomish/King county line.

I agree though - just from the one other time I had ducks, my three hens were WAY louder than the drake. That's what I like about my muscovies - they are quiet and no one even knows I have them.

    Quote:That's what I thought too...

Quote:Well, unless I'm an idiot and its normal for this duck to be twice the size of the others and then attempt to mate with one of them, then yes... the male is noisier.

The hens gently coo.. very nice.
