Here's my guess:

Rhodesian Ridgeback

If we're allowed to guess again I guess Rottweiler, because i have one and they're the best! i cant believe anyone hasnt guessed these yet.

I almost guessed Rottie, but she said it was a neat dog and that she's been wanting one for a while. So, I decided to go with a breed that's a little harder to find and a little different. You totally got it with the Ridgeback though, but they are a hunting dog. And with having ducks and such I know I wouldn't want one near my birds. Lol, I'm trying to think this out, might be over thinking it too.

My second guess would be Irish Wolf Hound, yes it's a hunting breed, but rather neat and hard to find.

Ridgeback was the neatest one i could think of right away, lol. We've had all sorts of dogs in and out of our place, including a variety of purebred hounds, never had a problem with the birds though..my sisters blue heeler is the worst EVER with them! she killed at least 10 chickens last year..she even tries to go after the big huge pig..i think she just has stupid bred into her lines, lol.

We had a blue heeler/pit mix almost kill our drake a few days ago..first time ive ever had problems with a pit or pit mix also...we get a lot of those here.
