Free Range chicks?

I gave up chasing. They walk themselves in when it gets late. I go right behind them and lock the door. It is usually around 7:30 which is later than I would like, but they go when they are good and ready.

I'm usually out in my yard when they're around foraging - now that it's getting dark earlier and earlier they're going in earlier. Soon we'll be wishing it was staying light later!

Same here, chickens put themselves to bed earlier and earlier each evening due to change in daylight...

I agree, no need to chase chickens...if the preadators are showing up that early, you need to do some sort of active predator control...
