Free range ducks

I am trying to hatch 2 mallard ducks. I would love a runner but was told they have to be at least 6 of them as they kinda work together like a machine and i dont have room for that many in my little coop. Is that true?

Well I have 5 Runners and they really do work together as a team but you could get by with 2 or 3 mine also have 2 Buff Orpington ducks in their little group as long as you have at least 3 they should be fine still working as a team they are really a close knit breed of duck

Oh ok! I have watched videos of the runners and they are so cool to watch.

Feeding the ducks daily will keep them from leaving. Ducks are controlled by food. I feed mine daily, and even took a month off without issues.
