Free range hen question

If I allow my hens to free range, will they go to coop to lay their eggs?

Yes they will, but not as much. I have three hens that lay about 2 eggs in 3 days when they free range. The last two days they have been in the coop, because of thunder storms, and boy did egg production go up! 2 eggs in 1 day. Not sure whats up with that. But anyways I'm sure your chickens will lay the same amount, my BSL chickens are just very active, and don't want to lay while free ranging. So the answer to your question is yes, they will.
