! Great to have you in our community! Free range vs. coop and run is a long debated choice on BYC. I respect people who come down on both sides of the argument. To me it's a risk vs. reward deal. I guess I would be called a partial free-ranger. I try and manage the risk by only free ranging them when I or someone else his home. And while my girls free range every day, they are probably ranging 6-8 hours - not all day. I think this is still plenty of time for them to explore around, get some greenery and bugs, and still maintain relative safety...as I am often out there with them or very close by.
