Ok, this might be a dumb question, but here it goes, I have two dogs, (not chicken friendly) I really like to let my chickens out as much as I can but they share the yard with the dogs, so I clean up after dogs and put them in the house. Does anyone else clean up after their dogs before letting their chickens out? Is this a strange thing to worry about? I just don't want my chickens who lay my eggs eatting what my dogs leave, dumb? Thanks just wondering.

I guess I am the only one....

Same here... my dogs run with the our chickens... and we do weekly clean-up of the dog poo. Typically my dogs clean up after the chickens.

I do clean up from my dogs but not in connection with the chickens. They don't seem to step in the mess or have any interest in it.

I try to clean up after the dogs but I have 2 big dogs and have noticed a couple of times that I overlooked some waste.....the chickens ignoe it. Now if my Greyhound would ignore the chickenpoop that the girls leave when roaming the yard I would be very happy....He does not care and tries every day. He just waits until I turn my back

Fortunately my other dog, a Malamute, has no interest in chicken droppings

Thankfully my cocker spaniel has not "cleaned" up any chicken poop. She will, however, go into their yard to eat their food if I don't watch her.

As for her chasing the chickens . . . I'm afraid that it's the other way around. Sigh, she's a sissy.

Well that's nice to know cause I was worried I might miss some and the chickens get into it, ewww didn't want that. My dogs like to roll in the mess the chickens leave.

If you figure out a way to keep the dog from eating goat poop, let me know. But he doesn't bother chicken poop, and he is in a 10 acre field, I don't clean it.
