Free Ranger Breeding Questions

I understand that the Free Rangers are a cross, but has anyone here tried breeding them together?

Do FRs live into maturity?

Would the size be lost through future generations?

I'm just curious. I am playing with another breeding project idea. Could FRs be used to help improve the meat part of a dual purpose breed?

I know that many dual purpose breeds of today have migrated more into the farmyard/large layers. I would love to get some of my dual purpose back to being truly dual purpose.

Do FRs have good feed conversion rate?
Could this be a worthwhile project?

Any thoughts or experiences would be great.

I have bred my dark cornish roo to retained freedom ranger hens. they certainly live to laying age.

Are they practical to keep to laying age?

Do you think the FR size and growth would continue in the offspring?
