Night time is where I have the most control over predators. My chickens are locked in tight so nothing can get to them.

You likely have opposite setup for accommodating flocks. I am guessing all birds in a single hardened location. I have have several flocks spread out over a many acres. Most of the those flocks are small. Larger flocks in hardened barn much more secure.
