hi guys. I've got that assumingly universal problem of free ranging chickens coming inside house/ pooping every where. I like my girls to have backyard to explore but getting sick of poop. was thinkinh of netting of deck but have a 2yr old and dogs so i dont wish to make access hard for them.
i keep a spray bottle at the door and shoot water at them when i notice they are on the deck but so far they not getti g hint.
wondering if anyone has some amazing advice or fencing ideas say so i dont need to keep the girls in a smaller fenced off area of my yard....
thanks in advance :-)

I second premier 1 poultry netting. I use it to keep my birds contained and predators at bay. I used to have the problem with the chickens wanting to roost on the porch on rainy days and poop all over the place. They now stay mostly contained.

It's a very popular brand which is why I used that example, and I wish I could get it...shipping costs out of country are just too high. :( But I've got the local equivalent. I use electric poultry fencing as we're in a rural area.

We have one chicken who really wants to come in the house. If she sees an open door, she'll go in. So when our chickens are free ranging we just need to keep the screen door closed.
