Free ranging problems

horses could care less abou them but I thought of that aswell and moved the horses out to pasture before tried putting them out there so I dont think its the horses I think they know where they want to be ans its not where I want them to be

Isn't that just the way they are

they have tons of room and they want to go the one place you don't want them to. I had the same problem, I have five acres of woods and lawn for them to free range on and they only wanted to go in my mulched landscaping islands

. Here's what I did, I bought an air horn and a radio controlled car. I watched from my front porch and when they stepped into the mulch I blew the air horn and went after them with the radio controlled car! I'm ashamed to admit

that I had a great time doing this! But, after two days of it they have not touched my mulched landscaping since. That was 3 months ago and thankfully I have not had to use the car or the horn since. I used the radio car because I did not want them associating me with scaring them away. I hope t.his gives you some ideas. Good luck!

Brooms flags airhorns remote controll cars BB guns all great ideas Ive thought of a "tunnel" run on the back side of the barn so they had to go out that way but thats alot of money in material it would be over 50 ft. long though not very tall only about 18 in tall and covered with chicken wire.......mmm just might do that. and I thought I was done with building....

Short term fix gave them access in to goat pen 16x16 unsecure for day use. this will help until I can get them trained to go back instead of up front...
