Today was a big day at Ruby’s Roost, we let the roosters out to free range for the first time.
A little back story....This is our first year raising chickens. We didn’t know about the importance of sexing chickens and got 6 roosters out of 16 birds
. This obviously wasn’t going to work so we made a rooster flock. Meet Big Bird, Cosmo, Junior and Egon! We were told they were silkies when we bought them but the older they get I think they are mixed something else. Not sure what, but it doesn’t matter to us, they are our pets
