Free ranging

Is it safe at all to free range geese. I plant to eliminate the chances of coyotes with electric perimeter fencing and trail cams. other than that are they safe as full grown birds to let roam around their designated areas and pond without screen netting or 24/7 monitoring??

Nothing is 100%, but the geese should do well. They're too big for most predators, land or flight, to deal with. Only larger predators like the coyote, dogs, and wolves would tackle geese. But perhaps give it some thought as to the kinds of predators you have in your area; mink, pine martin, and a few others may cause a problems too

The geese I adopted were in a backyard with no coop and battled raccoons. They had some major food insecurity and would stand in the food dish guarding it.
