FREE rouen drakes VT added pics.

Ticks let me know when works for you to meet if you want then. Essex would work fine for me. Preferably fri, sat, or sun also let me know how many and what you are intersted in.

If you want nice quiet ducks as pets and don't care about eggs or babies, a couple of drakes is just the thing.
They will get along fine as long as there are no ducks to fight over.

You might try looking at the Duck Rescue Network (see link in my sig line) and look at the rescuers list and see if there is someone near you. Often times our rescuers are glad to adopt out a couple of drakes to a good home.

Good luck in your search.

Awwwe....I love my ducks!

Hubby and I have a little rescue animal farm here and I'd sure love to take these sweet guys in to live in our pond!

I hope they find homes very soon! Can birds be shipped??

Yes birds can be shipped. I've received shipped birds and have shipped out birds before. It's very simple, costs are $30-60, but is worth it

Now here you go and tempt me, I never thought I would get ducks, but I also never thought I would get chickens.
I have been considering some goats too.
My husband hasn't said no to anything yet, I wonder how far I can go.

I could plan a little weekend away to Vermont and then say oh by the way honey we are stopping by ticks house to pick up a couple of ducks.
I have told him I was only going to get like 12 chickens and now we have 44 and some eggs going in the bator this week.
After this I promise to stop.

I really hope you find a home for these, I am surprised there aren't more duck owners interested on this forum.
Maybe nobody is close enough to you.
Have you tried Craigslist yet?

BY THE WAY, Where have you been? the SS "much ado about nothing" thread has gotten all girlified.

Ticks I hope you get a situation sorted out for your ducks, As I showed you a few weeks ago what my ducks looked like when you were asking if you had male or females.

them then the 3 at the right are the young drakes.

This is them today
The bigger one in the front is the older drake Peanut the other young drakes are getting much more green color on their heads than he did the one on the left is Walnut (Wally) the one in the middle is Pistachio (Stachio) more right Drake not named others are all females. It is amazing how they change in a few weeks. We are going to have to find a home for 2 of our young drakes also either Wally or Stachio and the other.

Noah doesn't know it but we are getting a pair of Mandrins this month.
