I would LOVE
to have them! I have just recently bought my first incubator and would love to have some Silkie chicks. I spent a bunch of money on some Silkie chicks from a hatchery recently and they were sick when they arrived here. I tried to nurse them back to health, but was only able to save 3 of the 10 Silkie chicks. My daughter and I both cried over the dying chicks.
I think Silkies are beautiful and would love to have more, especially some different colors. I currently have 2 buff Silkie chicks and 1 that I believe is a Partridge chick (they are only a couple of weeks old.) The ones that are still living appear to be healthy.
I would also love to have these so my 9-year-old daughter can help and watch them hatch. She recently saw her cat give birth (which is something I didn't plan for her to see) and she is obsessed with learning more about how different types of babies are born. Her birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I would love to be able to give her some hatching eggs of her own (which I will help her with, of course.)
I promise the chicks will be loved and taken care of. We do not eat our chickens, but raise them for pets only. My chicks all get lots of love and attention.
