Free silkie hatching eggs! Winner's Announced

I am purchasing some silkie eggs from Jen to help her get her new house but I do not have any silkies or have room right now. I am offering up her 6+ eggs to someone.

I will pay for the eggs and shipping to you.

All you have to do is tell me why you would like these beautiful silkies!

I would love to have them to help improve my Silkie lines. The neighbor's dog got some of my better birds a few months ago.

I am also moving into a new house and don't have the money to buy from her right now, but would love to help her out if I could.

i would love the silkie eggs, i paid 30.00 for a dozen from someone local, they were suppose to be full blood silkies, when two of them only hatched and they didnt make it, they died.

i have always wanted some silkies, and i finally talked my self into paying that much for eggs and then ended up with nothing.

i would LOVE to have these eggs!

I would love some more silkie eggs! I ordered some recently from a fellow BYC member... the post office lost them! They were finally located, and I feared all was lost as they'd been floating around somewhere for a week. Of the 14, only 8 have developed and are due to hatch this week. I've got my fingers crossed, but am not expecting miracles.

I would love to have the eggs. I have wanted silkies for 3 years now but was not able to get them because of work. Now that I am not working I have the time to take care of them. I promise I would take very good care of them!

I recently became disabled and I am trying to start a new hobby. I have a few RIR'S and some different things in the bator.
Silkies are beautiful and I think they would bring many hours of enjoyment. Please consider me for the eggs. Thanks and God bless.

Oooo I would love these. I just finished my second batch of white silkie hatching eggs. The PO scrambled the first, and apparently I killed most of the second in the hatcher (I think I killed them the first few hours when I had the plugs in, not enough ventilation.)

I had purchased these eggs as birthday presents for my DD and her friend. This is what we ended up with...

These 2 "silkie" chicks will go to the friend. DD is out of luck for now. I purchased the PO scrambled silkie eggs from another BYC'er here, and she has graciously offered to send me replacements for the cost of shipping.

Tell you what, instead of the other byc'er being out eggs because of the PO. I would paypal the money I would pay in my shipping cost to Jen, therefore adding at least a little more to the pot. I will have to spend this money anyway... could go to Jen. And I could let the other BYC'er know she isn't out any other eggs.

Well just as I am developing this huge chicken addiction and want all kinds, both my husband and I get laid off from our jobs. I love the silkies, I think they are the prettiest chicken of any of the breeds. I would love the opportunity the raise some, but unfortunately right now that just isn't going to happen. Money has to go toward the important necessities. Just know if I possibly am chosen that they will be loved and very well taken care of. I just want to thank everyone that gives away eggs. You put a smile on peoples face with just the gift of little eggs. I hope that soon I can do the same for someone else.

I nominate insiderart.They seem to have had a hard time of hatching silkies! I have silkies already and have purchased some of the same eggs from Jen.
