We have 5 beautiful and friendly silkie roosters we are trying to give away. We are located in Raleigh, NC. They are available immediately. They are 21 weeks old as of yesterday. We will also have a few hens for sale in the near future.

We are not really able to keep roosters as we live in the city. We ordered straight run silkies and were fortunate enough that 10/15 were hens. We have no rules about keeping roosters, but people can file noise ordinance complaints. As our neighbor's house nearest the coop is only about 30 feet away, I am pretty sure they can hear the crowing in the morning and I do not wish to create bad relations with them.

Thank you for sharing the thread, however. I remember reading about it recently when it was a top post.
