Free temporary nest boxes

I was at my local Home Depot (Mall 205, Portland, OR) and they are selling tiki torch fuel in 1-gal bottles that come four to a box (~12x12). The box has a front cut out and half the top is in tact - perfect for next boxes. They had two empty boxes once I rearranged bottles.

I don't know if all HDs are selling the tiki torch fuel; it was light blue cardboard boxes at the front of the store.

If anyone needs a few extras and/or temporary nesting boxes, I thought I'd share.

Great idea! Right now I'm using a large shoe box, with the lid turned up and attached with tape to the back of the box. Since I installed a poop board and a second roost bar in my coop they are not sleeping in the nest box now, so it stays pretty clean.

Thanks ptldChick for the good idea---next time I'm in Home Depot, I will check them out.
