Greetings,

Regretfully, I need to offer my wonderful runner duck mix to a good home. Her companion, that I raised from a hatchling and had for over 2 years, has taken off and abandoned her. She is very unhappy alone, and badly needs some friends to associate with. I have been broken hearted since her mallard friend left, and feel that offering her up to a good home is the best option. She does not lay many eggs, but the ones that she does lay have a blue tint to them and are quite delicious. Her coloration is quite different from anything I'd seen before. She can fly, but is not very good at it. She generally kind of skims the surface, but occasionally will get a few feet up in the air and make ~20 yard flights. I am going to miss her, but I want her to be as happy as she can be.

I'm located in Dahlonega Georgia. She is free, but I want her to go somewhere where she will be able to live a long and happy duck life, not be eaten. I have over half a bag of feed that comes with her as well.

Her name is Maggie. She is the brown duck on the right:

If you believe that you can offer her the kind of home that she deserves, please message me.

If you have not yet found a place for her, an unbreakable mirror may help, and a stuffed toy. If you were closer, I would be right over! I am up in southern New England, though.

As a testimonial for Maggie's new home, I have been to Flower's house and her birds are treated better than most people's kids. And hopefully Maggie's offspring will be living at my place this spring... Flower promised me eggs as a finder's fee for posting this ad in the Georgia thread..... I would have taken her if I didn't live on the other side of the state from you. She is beautiful.

Maggie has found a new home with Flowerbh. I am so happy that I was able to find such a great environment for her to transition into.

She had been following me around my yard and quacking sadly every time I had to close a door on her. She is going to be in the duck heaven that she deserves when she heads down to that beautiful pond tomorrow morning!

I am so thankful that I was able to connect with Flowerbh here.
