A lot of people had been asking about eggs laid by "Freedom Ranger" pullets. My pullets started laying at 18 1/2 weeks of age. They started with a few pullet eggs and torpedo shaped eggs. One week into laying over 50% of the pullets are laying. Eggs are now mostly medium with a few large eggs. So far only one egg has been laid without a shell. Overall they are laying nice eggs for meat birds.

Now the Cornish Xs are starting to lay. I'm hoping they match the egg laying ability of the Rangers.

I weighed two eggs today: 1.9 and 2.0 oz. Six month old pullets.

Been collecting eggs for two weeks and all have been 1.8, 1.9 or 2.0 oz. I haven't counted, but my three hens are producing about one egg a day between them.
