They don't. Somewhat like the Cornish X and the commercial hybrid laying hens they have used selective breeding to develop a chicken good for meat but slower to develop than the Cornish X. They are not a cross of certain breeds and they are not a breed. They are a type of chicken developed by selective breeding.
No, but thank you. One source said four birds and others say two breeds make the freedom ranger. It's hatchery close hold information, but I read it before.
