I was just wondering from those of you who participate in freelace writing if you've ever heard of Demand Studios? I was looking into applying and working for them. I just wanted to see what those of you on here had to say about them and if you knew of any other freelace writing places I could maybe apply to?

Don't know about Demand... don't know a single published (and still living) writer... but I'd give your local papers, etc a try. If you have knowledge on a subject, and that subject happens to be of interest "right now" (IE with the egg recall someone who had chickens could write a nice little article on the alternatives to buying eggs)... maybe worth a call anyways.

Depends on what you want to do. I would pass on Demand, after checking
their website.

As the talking Pineapple said, local newspapers are a good start. Again, it
sort of depends on what you feel like writing about. Writers Market? (annual)
The Market? (monthly)

Either way...it probably won't make you rich. Ask me...

Yeah, I'd check on how to spell freelance first.

BTW, please don't take umbrage at this--I do a lot of editing and stuff like that is the first thing I look for--second is syntax.

ETA: It sometimes gets me in trouble on these threads.
